Fiesta Americana Hacienda San Antonio El Puente Cuernavaca
Location #1 of 3 hotels in Xochitepec
Summary of qualifications
Quiet, peaceful, nice getaway. Could use more options such as horse back riding, tours, more food options. Gym could use upgrades (equipment is old and flimsy). The hacienda should lower the prices while there is construction being done.
"First time of many to come"
Normally we wait until after a visit to write a review. However we decided to make an exception in this case, for the Fiesta Americana, in Cuernavaca. We are new to this chain, being lifetime Platinum Members with Marriott and SPG. That being said, this place is amazing, and one of the most eclectic, spectacular, and magical hotels we’ve ever been to. It bridges the gap between the boutique hotel and the major chain, without sacrificing that small hotel charm. The hotel is a refurbished 400 year old hacienda modified but keeping its old world charm at the same time. The service parallels what you would see at any moderate 4-5 star hotel, yet with beautifully landscaped gardens and restaurants shaded by the remains of ancient aqueducts. The pools are amazing and full service, with fantastic food and drinks, and the staff is just as delightful. This place is definitely on our list to revisit many times, and would gladly recommend anyone to visit as well.
"A really bad experience "
The hotel is in the middle of nowhere, they have the worst room service and worst restaurant service.
You have no choice but to eat in the hotel, the restaurant is closed at 11 pm, there is no bar service.
There are better hotels around, in Cuernavaca and in Tepoztlán. Please do not stay here.
It is a 200 usd hotel per night, the place is amazing ( it is beautiful), but the service is horrible, really do not stay in this hotel.
"Romantic gateway in beautiful setting"
Beautiful hotel with special character due to historic location. Excellent food and very quiet. Recommended for families. Located near several places to visit. Would for sure come back here. Ideal for a weekend getaway.
"Beautiful spot but not quite up to par"
The hacienda is lovely, the grounds are well maintained and all very historic. The rooms though are not quite up to par, we never had any hot water in the shower and when we said something upon check-out they just shrugged it off, like "sorry". The restaurant both for breakfast and dinner left much to be desired!
