Location #1 of 15 hotels in San Pedro Garza Garcia
Certificate of Excellence 2017
Summary of qualifications
"Good facilities, but terrible food."
The hotel is well-located and relatively new (open less than two years, I believe). Its rooms are small, but comfortable. The reception and concierge staff were friendly and helpful.
The hotel's heating and air-conditioning never worked properly during my 3+ week stay. Even changing rooms did not help. While its breakfast buffet is fine, everything I tried on the menu was terrible as was the dining rooms' service. The entire kitchen staff should be fired -- seriously.
The hotel's "business center," when it was staffed, is a joke. You can't even send a fax from the hotel. The gym is small, but adequate.
Housekeeping was spotty. During my 25 nights, I received evening turn down services only 3-4 times. My room was not always vacuumed on a daily basis. Laundry service is poor and expensive.
I have stayed at the hotel 60+ nights in the last year, but will not be staying there when I return to San Pedro in December.
"Fancy Hotel "
This is a fancy and expensive hotel. The service is good the people are really nice the only turn down is that the rooms are kind of small for the price you pay. But they are well decorated, the bathroom is average size and the bed is comfy. ***** There’s some important shopping malls just crossing the street**** and also a lot of restaurants and fun places for children.
Overall I’ll come back.
"Real new, Nice, Probably better in immediate area"
This is a very new and nice, modern hotel. It is near 4-5 other hotels near a major mall. Staff is nice, service is less consistent. Breakfast restaurant was really good with strong service. Rooms modern and cool - yet poorly lit and harder to work in - only very small spot lights leaving room quite dark - needs a large room light to light up the place..
Shower only - no bath tub and two sinks. Stayed six nights over two weeks in different rooms - mini-bar had different contents. Shower flooded bathroom in one of my rooms - when asked for clean up - helpful and did not seem like it was an unusual request. There are three coffee Nespesso pods in the room... sometimes two... sometimes all decaf... Room service ok - had soup that was cold once - better to go to a ton of great restaurants within walking distance. Yet this hotel is a bit isolated and is across multiple, very busy streets and this makes restaurants less accessible. In day it is ok if you are careful crossing the streets and move fast. At night, the poor lighting makes the street risky. There is also a new, large, yet poorly lit and uneven pedestrian walkway across the busy streets with electrical wires hanging on it...really shady .. especially at night... yet works when in groups. Fine to stay - may be better local options. Need to work out the finer service aspects at this new hotel yet strong staff with good attitude.
"Good place to stay for business"
First time guest at the Fiesta Americana in Monterrey, Mexico. Room was comfortable, breakfast buffet had many choices, hot and cold. Service is prompt. Location is very good -- short walk across the street to the large mall which has many good restaurants and shops. Upper floor lounge has fantastic view of the city, especially at night.
"Difficult to find "
One of those places that are difficult to navigate to. Two of our taxi drivers had a hard time finding it and one tried to drop us off at the shopping center which would have been a long walk. Once in side it was nice. Guest service was good and they had some nice fruit drinks to offer the guests at check in. Elevators were a bit slow. Room was cool but not much of a view. I didn't get a chance to look around the hotel but it seemed safe. It's an odd place meaning nothing is labeled or where to go.
